P.F. Chang’s China Bistro -- Bonifacio Global City

Finally! P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, a popular US-based full-service chain, has opened its second branch at the Bonifacio Global City last January 15, 2013. I was happy to find out that they opened a branch that is somewhat in the middle of Metro Manila! The new location has two floors, including private function rooms in the second floor and as well stocked bar at the first floor.

* I was talking to one of the managers and she mentioned that P.F. Chang's was brought by the same company as California Pizza Kitchen and this company is also bringing IHOP (that is found in the same building as CPK and P.F. Chang's) that is soon to open.*

P.F. Chang’s offers simple, no-fuss dishes which are inspired by cuisines from the different regions of China, namely: Peking or Northern China, Shanghai or Eastern China, Cantonese or Southern China and Sichuan and Hunan Twin Western Province of China. They serve fresh food, prepared at the moment using high-quality ingredients. They also offer a gluten-free menu and a vegetarian menu.

(My mom)
The ambiance for dinner was cozy, though the booth we had was not as cold as the restaurant itself.

Sauces ( Top left to right: vinegar, soy sauce, chili oil
Bottom left to right: mustard, soy sauce, chili)
Our server, Angelie made her "special" sauce for us, because according to her, this complements all of P.F. Chang’s dishes.
*I love the ability to fix up your own dipping sauce so you can make it just the way you like it!*

NOW HERE COMES THE FOOD!
For starters, we ordered the Dynamite Shrimp
Dynamite Shrimp -- Crispy shrimp tossed in a zesty sauce served over lettuce. (Php. 365.00)
This is amazing! I love shrimp and I love spicy food, so I really enjoyed this appetizer. If you are not into spicy food, I can say that you will still enjoy this, because they tasted really good.

Our Chicken dish was Kung Pao Chicken
Kung Pao Chicken -- Chicken breast stir-fried with peanuts, chili peppers and scallions. (Php. 395.00)
This is one of their signature dishes and it was good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

For Pork we had Northern Style Spare Ribs
Northern Style Spare Ribs -- Tender wok-braised ribs infused with sweet, salty and savory flavors. Served with a five-spice salt rub. (Php. 750.00)
The ribs were perfectly cooked, and if you are not a fan of the five-spice salt rub for your ribs, you can try using the sauce that your server made for you.

Our Seafood was Shrimp with Candied Walnuts
Shrimp with Candied Walnuts -- Tender shrimp tossed in a creamy sauce with candied walnuts and honeydew melon. (Php. 885.00)
This is P.F. Changs take on the usual hot shrimp salad, which I really loved! The combination of flavors and textures in this one dish just mixed so well. The honeydew melon balls were sweet, that really matched the cripsy-creamy shrimp.
*A bit expensive though, but it was worth it!*

For our Vegetable dish, we had Buddha's Feast
Buddha's Feast -- Perfect as a light entrée or complement to any dish with baked tofu and mixed vegetables. Served steamed or stir-fried. (Php. 345.00)
You have the choice if you want it served as steamed or stir-fry. We had ours as a stir-fry. The vegetables we all bathed in the sauce that provides a flavorful moisture in each bite, though it was too salty for my taste.

Our noodles is Singapore Street Noodles
Singapore Street Noodles -- Shrimp, chicken, vegetables and rice noodles stir-fried in a curry sauce. (Php. 425.00)
I had better "street noodles" compared to this.

Our rice for the night was P.F. Chang's Fried Rice
P.F. Chang's Fried Rice -- Wok-fried rice blended with egg, soy, carrots, bean sprouts and sliced scallions. (Php. 200.00)
It was soft and sticky with a nice blend of spices and soy. It gives a touch of flavor that will not overpower your entrees. You will be given a choice if you want yours with chicken, beef, pork or shrimp. We had ours plain.

And finally for dessert, Emperor Rolls
Emperor Rolls -- Blackberries and their signature cheesecake in a spring roll wrapper and fried to a golden brown. Served with raspberry sauce and whip cream at the side.
This was the most unusual dessert in the menu, so we gave it a try and it was really good! The soft cheesecake and the spring roll wrapper was combination and the textures worked out really well. You must try this!
